About me

Hey everyone!

My name is Axel, I'm an aspiring, 21 year old, business major living in Aachen, Germany.

I'm currently actively playing a Bloodelf (yeah i know...) Hunter [PVE|PVP] and an Undead Priest [PVP] on EU-Frostmourne.

Once I'm not busy In-Game I'm in the role of the community carebear here at getbuffed.com as you propably might have noticed while trolling the forums.

Anything else concerning my past at online games is being addressed in my first blog posting.

Brutallus

Since my gear and playstyle has been "Sunwell approved" I was asked to join the Brutallus raid last night.

All I really do at Brutallus is Misdirect, Nuke, Feign Death, Blow Cooldowns, Nuke Harder, watch the tank die.

As you might realize it's not a really entertaining encounter for DPS classes. The only time you're moving is when you get burnt, which takes about 5 seconds to get behind the melee camp and another 5 seconds to get back when burn faded.

Well after 19 tries, of which 17 ended due to tanks dying, one 1% wipe due to lack of dps and one bodypull by our lovely priest Brutallus finally died in try #20 - 8 seconds into the enrage timer.

Seeing how Death & Taxes kills the Twins of Eredar after 4-5 Weeks of raiding makes me scratch my head at those nights.

Anyhow, 3 people got to spend ridiculous amounts of DKP on Belt tokens (one of each) and everyone's happy to wipe to Felmyst tonight.

Well... almost. =P

My Past

Before I laid my hands on the World of Warcraft I used to be a long term Ragnarok Online player on euRO Loki where I've been active in competitive endgame PvP with a Level 96 Lordknight just as well as with a level 95 High Wizard.

It's been about a month into the gold status of the Burning Crusade when I decided to move on from Ragnarok Online to World of Warcraft with four of my guildmates of which three are still actively playing WoW and one returned to Ragnarok Online.

After switching Classes and Realms for once we eventually made our way to level 70 and started raiding. We've been running behind the content for quite some time, going through all available raid instances up to 6/6 SSC & 3/4 TK when I decided to take longer break from PVE content and dedicated myself to PVP.

It's been 2 months since then when I got bored of waiting for my teammates who were and still are active raiders to do some arena when I grabbed some badges and applied for a raid since I was stuck without teammates anyway. So I rushed through MH/BT with a very decent guild called IDDQD which also recruited a few high ranked PVP players in order to stock up their raidpool. With the ultimate Goal being Sunwell Plateau.

The guild lasted about 6 weeks before being abandoned. A lot of people let the raid down, a few just grabbed some Tier 6 gear and transferred somewhere they've propably been offered even more and eventually people got frustrated and preferred to merge with another raid to actually be able to run raids.

However, I didn't know most people in our guild, nor in the one they merged with so I chose a different path.

Right now I'm a trial at the raid community "Casuals at Work" which hold enough people to run raids, yet performs worse in many other aspects compared to IDDQD.

We're currently (2/6) at SWP and therefor struggling with Felmyst (actually the healers are struggling with felmyst and everyone else is struggling with survival but that's another topic wink.gif) so I'm happy to see some of the interesting content and hopefully a few decent firstkills once the raid has recovered from its current status.
