Black Temple (Level 70+ | 25 Players)
Page: 1• Discuss this topic in our board.
You are not prepared
The Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley is one of the biggest and hardest raid instances of “The Burning Crusade”. Including nine bosses, challenges of epic extent await you. The ultimate climax is the fight against the perfidious demon hunter Illidan on top of the temple. To enter this 25-player-instance successfully, you will need a well attuned team that meets the corresponding requirements. Your equipment should be on an appropriate level anyway, as otherwise you couldn’t have entered the instance in the first place.
A trip to Hyjal
As is often the case, you’ll need to finish a quest line before entering this raid instance. You start by completing the quest in the outpost of the Aldors and respectively the Scryers. From there you are sent to Maiev’s prison. Akama, the leader of the Ashtongues, will give you further missions, at the end you’ll have to bring the Medallion of Karabor to A’dal in Shattrath. Afterwards the seer Olum in the Serpentshrine Cavern asks you to deliver a message for Akama in the Shadowmoon Valley after defeating the Fathom-Lord Karathress. Be prepared to kill the phoenix-god Al’ar in the Tempest Keep, you’ll have to wear the Ashtongue Cowl, which you’ll get from Akama. Get ready for some time travel and head to Hyjal, Rage Winterchill will be waiting for you there. He drops the Time-Phased Phylactery, and with this the hardest part of the quest line is over. Afterwards help Akama and Maiev get into the Black Temple. By the way, you’ll have to be carrying the Medallion of Karabor, when entering the instance.

Usual preparation
The first three bosses in the Black Temple are relatively easy. You won’t need any standard buffs like flasks or oils. But, however, the following bosses are much harder, so save your buffs and spells for later. The group setup should be individually adapted from boss to boss. For the trash a raid of three tanks, seven healers and 15 damage dealers is appropriate. The best is to start with this immediately upon entering the temple. That’s the kick-off – now you’ll see if you are prepared.
